Ancestry is the leading DNA test for family searching, providing the most genetic connections our volunteers need to identify their biological family. Results usually only take 4-6 weeks after returning the test kit to be processed and viewed online.

STEP 2: GATHER WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW
Collect any records, documents, or family details you have been holding onto - even the smallest details can be useful. This includes adoption papers, birth certificates, or names of known relatives. If you have very little to go on, don't worry. Many of our clients start with nothing more than a desire to know their truth.
STEP 3: FILL OUT THE SEARCH REQUEST FORM
Once your form is submitted and a Search Angel is assigned to your case, they will reach out to review your background information. To begin the technical work, your Angel will guide you through two quick steps:
Sharing DNA Results: You will be asked to invite your Angel to view your AncestryDNA matches.
Starting a Professional Search Tree: Your Angel will ask you to create and invite them to a new, dedicated family tree. This allows us to build your biological connections from scratch, using only verified genetic data to ensure accuracy.
Rest assured, your case is important to us. Once your form is submitted, you are officially in our queue. We will contact you if we need more information and let you know as soon as a researcher is available to start your journey.
