If you have taken an AncestryDNA test and are staring at a long list of DNA matches, wondering what they mean and where to begin, you are in the right place.

Search Angels does not offer standalone DNA results, tutoring, or interpretation classes. We assign an expert volunteer genetic genealogist to your case, who will analyze your AncestryDNA results as part of a full biological family search. Your results are the foundation of everything we do - and our volunteers know exactly how to read them.

How It Works

You submit a search request through our search form. Once a volunteer with the right expertise is assigned to your case, they will access your AncestryDNA results directly - analyzing your matches, building out your biological family tree, and working to identify your unknown biological parent or relative.

You do not need to understand how DNA works. That is our job.

What You Need

An AncestryDNA test is required before we can begin - no other DNA testing company's results can be used. You will also need to grant your assigned volunteer both guest access and editor access to your AncestryDNA account so they can do their work.

If you have not yet taken a test, order your kit first and return when your results are ready - it takes about 6 to 8 weeks.
